The National Police have arrested the 24-year-old woman who last week denounced a homophobic attack in the Madrid neighborhood of Chueca.

The young woman

has confessed today to the agents that she invented the attack

and that she actually fell to the ground when she was returning home alone.

The young woman reported at the Arganzuela police station that on Friday of the week she was pushed by an unknown man against a tree while she was walking with a girl by the hand.

He stated that the aggressor gave him insults because of his sexual orientation, while kicking him on the ground.

"He told

me shitty dumplings", "you are sick" and "you should all be at a bonfire," the young woman told the police.

In addition, he included in the complaint a report of injuries with an injury to the right eye.

He also related that this man stole his mobile phone and fled the place.

In several interviews on television and in the press, the alleged victim said this week that

"she still limped and continued to have pain in her arm and several bruises all over her body"

and that it was not the first time she had been attacked for her sexual condition.

However, the young woman has admitted to the agents that the attack was invented and has been arrested and released, investigated for the alleged simulation of a crime.
