A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition forces in Yemen said that the coalition intercepted and destroyed two missiles fired by the Houthis towards the city of Abha, as well as two sites for long-range missiles and drones in Sanaa.

The coalition added that it destroyed two workshops for assembling and installing long-range missiles in the Bani Al-Harith district, and a site under construction that was rehabilitated for drone activities.

On the other hand, the coalition stated that an enemy projectile landed in the industrial area in Jazan, causing material damage to 3 industrial workshops and the burning of 3 civilian vehicles.

The coalition considered Houthi attempts to target civilian facilities a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

On the other hand, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said that they launched an attack on airfields at King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait and vital targets in Jizan with 5 long-range missiles, describing the casualties per minute.

The Houthis used to launch ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones at Saudi and other Yemeni regions, in return for repeated declarations by the coalition to thwart these attacks.

On the other hand, the Yemeni Landmine Monitor said that two children died and a third was injured when an explosive device camouflaged as a toy exploded in Hays district, Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen.

The "Masam" project for demining in Yemen had previously stated that its engineering teams had removed more than 600 landmines and an explosive device, which it said the Houthis had planted in the vicinity of Hays in the past weeks.

Yemen has been witnessing for nearly 7 years a continuous war between the pro-government forces backed by a Saudi-led military coalition, and the Houthis, who have controlled several governorates, including the capital, Sanaa, since September 2014.
