Wednesday's weather: a gray day in the north, sunny in the south

The gray will still remain on Wednesday in the regions ranging from Brittany to the Pays de la Loire, the Center-Val de Loire, the Île de France, Burgundy, the Grand-Est and the Hauts de France.

Fogs and low clouds will change very little during the day.

Small drizzle will even be possible towards Nord-Pas de Calais under the densest clouds.

However, gaps will occur on the relief of the Vosges.

Generous sunshine in the south

In New Aquitaine, mists or pockets of clouds will also be present. This grayness will slowly dissipate to let the afternoon pass, a few corners of blue sky except for the edge of the Garonne valley where the clouds will persist. Further south, from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean regions, the Alps and the Massif Central and Corsica, the sunshine will remain generous throughout the day after a few mists or mists have dissipated in the valley bottoms.

Fogs or low clouds may arrive at the end of the day in the regions bordering the Gulf of Lion.

At daybreak, the thermometer will display from 0 to 5 degrees in the interior of the country, from 3 to 5 on the Mediterranean shore, from 3 to 8 on the Atlantic coast and the Channel coasts.

The maximums will range from 6 to 10 degrees from the north-eastern borders to 13 to 17 from the feet of the Pyrenees to the Côte d'Azur.
