2017 was the first time with a Lucia train on the roof of Uppsala Castle.

An event that has gained a foothold and has been kept intact - despite corona times.

- For me, the roof is a stage where it is possible to create things.

We want to give life to the castle, says Jonathan Tigrar who came up with the idea of a Lucia train on the roof, where it is required that the participants do not suffer from dizziness.

Extra requirements on lucia

And on Lucian further demands are made;

that it is a person who has shown courage, inspired others and who gives hope.

Last year, this agreed with Anna Bredberg Kostov.

- She temporarily dropped out of her company to go in and work in covid care.

This year we would have had Sofia Bo as Lucia, a young woman and gallery owner who has stood up and created a platform for other artists.

Unfortunately, she has had to cancel due to illness, says Jonathan Tigrar.

And German television is in place this year - how come?

- I do not really know, but that we do this has spread and I simply think that it is about being curious that we have taken a Swedish tradition up on a roof.
