The "French Institute", affiliated to the Cultural Department of the French Embassy in the UAE, in cooperation with "Campus France", the French public agency responsible for promoting French higher education in the UAE and the world, organized the "Choose France - UAE" event.

The event included three sessions held yesterday at the France pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, where, during the first session, intensive meetings were held between French and Emirati higher education institutions during the opening session.

The second session was represented by the conference “Study in France: Learning, Innovation and Building the Future”, which discussed the idea of innovation in the educational field, with the participation of the French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Frédéric Vidal, who witnessed a presentation by French Lab representatives, in which they reviewed the program An advanced chatbot available on Facebook and Messenger, a program designed for those interested in learning French using artificial intelligence.

The EPF School of Engineering discussed the importance of innovation, creativity, and a multidisciplinary approach to engineering educational practices, to contribute to achieving sustainable higher education.

The third session was devoted to the most prominent graduates of French higher education institutions who shared their views, achievements and experiences in studying in France, to encourage those interested to embark on a useful international educational journey.

The conference concluded with the Innovation Awards Ceremony, which aims to honor innovative local projects developed by UAE graduates.

The delegation, consisting of 14 French institutions, met with many prestigious Emirati institutions: (United Arab Emirates University, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, and others), to develop and implement academic exchange programs within the framework of bilateral agreements.

The "Choose France - UAE" event is in line with the goal set by the French government in November 2018, which is to receive 500,000 students from around the world by 2027.

During the academic year 2020-2021, the number of Emirati students studying in France reached 208.
