In the clip, you hear Per Sikora, sampling coordinator at the region, tell why only the regional residents are offered tests at the airport.

The Swedish Public Health Agency recommends everyone who has lived in a country outside the Nordic region to take a PCR test as soon as possible after entering Sweden.

Preferably the same day.

Västra Götaland has offered tests since last spring, and will continue to do so at least until March next year.

Last week, about 200 PCR tests were performed per day.

Offering only the tests to one's own residents is not a financial issue, but a legal issue.
