Ivo has carried out an inspection and reviewed medical records in 28 patient cases that the Gävleborg Region has sent to the authority.
Among other things, the doctor has failed to write promised referrals and follow up patient visits.
Patient's diagnosis was delayed
In one of the cases, the doctor has not documented previous illnesses about previous breast cancer diagnosis.
According to Ivo, the doctor also failed to send the X-ray referral, which delayed the patient's diagnosis and subsequent treatment by at least three months.
The doctor tells Ivo that he had not asked about the patient's previous illnesses.
Ivo writes in his report to the Health and Medical Care Liability Committee, HSAN, that as a doctor you should always ask about previous medical history.
Ivo also pointed out that it also appeared from previous notes in the medical record that the patient had had breast cancer.
In the alternative, Ivo demands that the Health and Medical Care Liability Committee decides on a three-year probationary period for the doctor.
HSAN will make a decision in the case.
