In a previous tweet, Al-Sharif said that the aim of his father's arrest was to pressure him to "shut up" him, and confirmed that he had evidence of what he broadcast.

After my brothers, my father, the elderly sheikh, 74 years old, has now been arrested after the naive statement of the Ministry of the Interior, to shut up and not put in your hands anything that destroys their entire narrative and I bear witness that it is in my hands now.
