The Egyptian student of the University of Bologna, who spent 22 months in prison before being released from a police station in Mansura, he continues: "Now I'm really fine, I'm trying to understand what happened to me but I feel like I'm in a dream, thanks to what all of you and your program has done for me" .



"When I was able to look at the street, get out of the station, when they took off the handcuffs ... I was very confused. When we got in the car I said to myself 'what is going on? But have they really let me free?' ". "I believed in my innocence, I tried to turn it in my favor", said Zaki, adding that he was helped "by the love of everyone, of my family, of Italy, of all my Bolognese who helped me", he added.



And then: "What I know for sure is that for now I have no travel ban. I want to be in Bologna, which is a dream if I could get there. I hope to make it." "I spent time with my family, with reporters ... I am truly grateful for everything that has been done for me." "I would like to return very soon. I keep thinking about my future in Bologna. I would really like to complete my studies there." "I want to live in Bologna, I want to feel that wonderful warmth that has reserved for me. I want to do something for this city that has supported me in all these months".



"Since the hearing has not yet been held, I am unable to leave the country but for the moment I certainly have no travel ban, I would like to be in Bologna tomorrow too", he stressed. "I don't know what will happen at the trial hearing. I keep my fingers crossed, I hope something will happen to me: all I do is think about going back to Bologna and seeing my friends again". "The thing that allowed me to move forward was every little step, everything ... I tried to turn it in my favor, especially anyone who was interested in me, the love of my family, friends, all my Bolognese ", emphasized Zaki.
