The International Criminal Court called on the countries of the world to cooperate in arresting Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, while he is still on the list of candidates for the presidential elections in Libya.

The International Court stated - in a tweet on Twitter - that "Saif al-Islam is still at large and is convicted of crimes against humanity."

According to the International Criminal Court website, the arrest warrant for Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi was issued on June 27, 2011, and he is not detained.

The Sabha Court (south) decided earlier to return Saif al-Islam permanently to the electoral race, rejecting the appeal of the Electoral Commission to exclude him from the list of candidates.

The list of candidates also includes retired Major General Khalifa Haftar, Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh and Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba.

On November 24, the Electoral Commission announced a "preliminary list" of 73 presidential candidates, including Haftar, in addition to another list of 25 excluded, including Saif al-Islam Gaddafi.

Presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place in Libya on December 24, amid calls to postpone the date, in light of ongoing disputes over electoral rules and prominent candidates in contention over their acceptance.
