Amazon founder Jeff Bezos faced criticism by posting a message congratulating Blue Origin's space travel before mourning after the death of a warehouse worker in a tornado that hit the central United States.

According to Insider, an American economic media, on the 12th local time, Bezos posted a congratulatory message on Instagram after Blue Origin, a space exploration company he led, completed the third manned spacecraft launch.

"Happy crew," wrote Bezos, posting a photo he took before the rocket launch with civilian passengers on successful space travel.

However, Bezos posted this photo and post after a tornado in the central United States caused a major disaster.

In Edwardsville, Illinois, at least six employees were killed and many others were missing when an Amazon warehouse collapsed in a tornado.

Insider reports that Bezos has been criticized online for congratulating him on his space travel success without mentioning the collapse of the Amazon warehouse.

On Twitter, etc., "Amazon workers died in a tornado, and Bezos (who posted this) is ashamed and disgusting", "Bezos, you should be more concerned about the tornado situation. Who among Amazon employees can actually travel to space?" The article has been uploaded.

Bezos belatedly issued a separate statement of condolences to the tornado after a surge of criticism on social media.

The New York Post said that the statement came 24 hours after the tornado disaster.

"It is tragic news," Bezos said in a statement. "It is heartbreaking to lose a team member there. We are praying with their families and loved ones."

Amazon said it has not yet been able to determine exactly how many employees were on duty when the tornado struck its warehouse.

The Edwardsville Disaster Response Authority has shifted from missing persons identification and rescue operations to body recovery operations, as there are no additional survivors from the Amazon warehouse collapse.
