China News Service, December 11th. According to the US "World Journal" report, Kwong Wei, the captain of the Chinatown Blue Envoy Volunteer Patrol Team in Oakland, USA, stated on the 9th that the two months from October 8 to December 8 will be in China. On the streets of Bu, there have been six incidents in which the elderly fainted or nearly fell due to blood pressure and other problems.

Some old people cross the road and suddenly fall down, making their heads battered, which is quite dangerous.

The weather in the Bay Area is now becoming cold and gloomy. I hope that the elderly of Chinese descent will reduce their outings. If they must go out, it is best to be accompanied by someone to prevent accidents.

Blue Angels volunteers patrol Chinatown several days a week to prevent accidents such as crime.

Kwong Wei said that from the 4th to the 8th, three elderly people experienced dizziness or fainting.

On the 4th, when an old lady was crossing the road in Chinatown, she suddenly fell abruptly, with blood on her head.

When the blue sky envoy volunteers learned about it, they quickly stepped forward to help.

Kwong Wei opened a clinic in Chinatown and knew first aid knowledge, so he immediately retrieved the gauze from the clinic to help the elderly stop bleeding.

Kwong Wei said that at the beginning of the year in Chinatown, the incident of hitting the elderly Chinese for no reason caused everyone to discuss and pay attention to hate crimes.

At the beginning, some people were worried about whether the old lady was knocked down deliberately.

But witnesses told the volunteers that the old lady fell on her own, and everyone was relieved that no one fell.

"The old lady was delirious, did not speak clearly, did not remember the identity information, did not even remember the phone number of her relatives. After careful inquiry and communication by the volunteers, she found the phone number of the old lady's daughter and helped to contact her. The ambulance staff also sent the old lady off. Go to the hospital for treatment."

On the 8th, Blue Sky Envoy volunteers discovered two cases of dizziness and almost fell over two elderly people.

Kwong Wei said that before the volunteers patrolled, an old man was found who was inconvenient to move and did not listen to his hands and feet.

He stepped forward and asked whether to take medicine, but the old man's memory was blurred and he couldn't explain clearly.

The Oakland police stationed in Chinatown drove the elderly home.

The Blue Angel patrolled to 7th Street and encountered an old man who was dizzy again.

Volunteers made a decisive decision and helped the old man put the things he bought into the car.

After the old man took a break, he finally drove home.

Kwong Wei said that from October 8th to December 8th, volunteers have discovered six incidents similar to elderly people falling or feeling faint.

Their falls were not caused by uneven roads. Part of the reason was that the elderly forgot to take blood pressure medicines and blood sugar lowering medicines.

In this winter season, factors such as vasoconstriction and cardiac function decline in the elderly can cause brain hypoxia and fainting when walking, leading to falls and injuries.

"The brain is the headquarters of the human body and directs the movements of people’s hands and feet. If the brain is hypoxic, it is equivalent to damage to the headquarters, and people’s movements are hindered. The most frightening thing is that some elderly people fall down without touching any external force, just directly Falling down, the chances of injury are high."

Kwong Wei reminded that now that the Bay Area is entering rainy weather, he hopes that the elderly, especially those over 70 years old, will try their best to avoid going out.

If you have to go out, it is better to be accompanied by a family member.

If someone is holding a hand by the side, the balance of the elderly will be much better, avoiding accidents.
