The Ministry of Culture and Youth, in cooperation with the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), announced that it will host the 22nd edition of the Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World, in the presence of 21 ministers, a number of general managers of international organizations, as well as a number of important personalities. The conference will discuss the comprehensive plan for Arab culture and its modernization, with the aim of enhancing inter-Arab cultural cooperation with the cultures of the peoples of the world, as well as unifying Arab efforts in various cultural fields, including cooperation in registering intangible heritage in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and unifying efforts The conference will also discuss an extraordinary ambassador program for Arab culture.

The conference will focus on a number of topics, most notably the report on the status and future of the Arabic language, which is issued by the ministry in partnership with the Advisory Council for the Arabic Language, and discuss ways of cooperation to launch and develop new projects in the fields of culture, heritage and the Arabic language.

The ministers will also participate in the opening ceremony of the Arabic Language Summit and the Al Burda Festival and Prize, which are being held concurrently with the convening of this session.

For her part, Minister of Culture and Youth of the United Arab Emirates Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi welcomed the convening of this session at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is the largest cultural platform in the world, and celebrates the diversity of human cultures and provides an opportunity to learn about the cultures of 192 countries.

She said: "The Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World is a main platform for enhancing prospects for Arab cultural cooperation and crystallizing its new dimensions to enhance the presence and advancement of Arab culture.
