The National Defense Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Defense stated on December 8 local time that the Russian army dispatched Su-27 fighter jets to accompany three French fighter jets attempting to cross the Black Sea and approach the Russian border.

After the Russian Su-27 fighter took off, it was confirmed that the air targets near the Russian border were the French Air Force’s "Phantom 2000" fighter, "Rafale" fighter, and C-135 tanker, and then Russian fighters accompanied them.

After the French military plane moved away from the Russian border, the Russian fighter plane returned to the base safely.
