The investigation established that on May 13 the defendant arrived from the city of Zavolzhye to the working village of Bolshoye Kozino, in a forest belt he attacked a child, committed a crime against sexual inviolability and killed him.
“As established by the investigators of the Investigative Committee, earlier the man was repeatedly prosecuted, including for committing crimes against the sexual inviolability of a minor,” the Investigative Committee said.
The defendant admitted guilt in full.
“By the verdict of the court, the defendant was sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment in a special regime colony.
The verdict has not entered into legal force, ”the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
On May 13, a 12-year-old girl disappeared on her way home from school in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
In the evening of the same day, her body was found in a forest belt.
On May 15, the suspect in the murder of the girl was arrested and taken into custody.
