Spain saw 341,315 babies born in 2020, 5.35 percent less than the previous year, and 493,776 people died, almost 18% more than in 2019.
The National Statistics Institute (INE) collects this in its definitive data on births, deaths and marriages for 2020, an exercise marked by the effects of the pandemic in which they formalized only 90,670 links, 45.5 less than in 2019 .
