On December 9, a major breakthrough in the field of basic research on photosynthesis completed by Chinese scientists was the first to analyze the key structure of the ring electron transport path in barley chloroplasts, and it was published online in the internationally renowned academic journal Nature.

The research was completed by a joint team from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Zhejiang University, using forage/edible barley as research materials.

On the eve of the publication of the paper, the main members of the team from the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences accepted an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency in Beijing, introducing the main innovations of this research and interpreting the significance and impact.
