"President Biden said very clearly that the decision to join NATO is only the decision of the Ukrainian people," said the head of the Ukrainian president's office, Andriy Yermak, on the air of the 1 + 1 TV channel.
Ermak's statement is quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was concerned about the prospect of Ukraine's possible entry into NATO.
He noted that this decision will be followed by the deployment of military contingents, bases and weapons threatening Russia in Ukraine.
