The Minister of Community Development and Chairperson of the Quality of Life Council, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, stated that "the leadership and government of the UAE consider the quality of human life as an integral part of the next fifty years, and raise the level of its expectations from all of us, in light of the new methodology of government work, and the strategic vision for the next fifty years,” stressing that quality of life is an urgent and sustainable national goal in our march towards the centenary, which constitutes a stimulating opportunity to launch major qualitative projects and initiatives that serve the citizens and residents of the country, and enhance the country’s leadership in global competitiveness indicators.

This came in the Minister's speech during the meeting of the Government Network of CEOs for Happiness and Wellbeing, which was organized by the Ministry's National Program for Happiness and Quality of Life, at Expo 2020 Dubai, reflecting the impact and value of the slogan of the largest and most prominent exhibition in the world "Connecting Minds and Creating the Future".

Buhumaid said: “We always seek to overcome challenges and launch future aspirations full of goodness for all. Today, we are in the happiness stage of recovery, but we are working for the quality of life in the post-pandemic stage, and in front of this reality we are committed to completing the quality of life process, and linking it with various plans. sectors to contribute to achieving the objectives of the national strategy for quality of life, the aspirations of the centenary, and the fifty projects.”

She added, "The country's leadership has put us, years ago, before the (number one) challenge in the world, and in all areas of life, including the quality of life.

There are qualitative leaps made in competitiveness indicators that motivate us in the quality of life sector for continuous achievements.

During this year, the UAE ranked first and number one globally in 20 indicators.

Also, in the face of the pandemic, the UAE was the best in the world in terms of flexibility in dealing with (Covid-19), and in the global leadership in providing and providing the vaccine to the population, and this confirms the fact that public health is a government priority for quality of life.

Buhumaid spoke about the UAE’s leadership in the Global Globe Index and Report for Security and Order for the year 2021, in the safety index of residents roaming at night alone, the index of the safest countries in the world, in addition to the UAE’s choice to lead Interpol, the new housing system, and the investments and returns of the Emirates railway program “Qatar” The Union” and the expected impact on the sons, generations, and future of the nation.

Buhumaid called on the CEOs to share ideas and proposals and to select projects and initiatives that support this trend and achieve the leadership and government’s goal of this decision in various social, health, educational, economic and development fields, saying: “We want new initiatives that keep pace with all these achievements, as we are still in the first days of the second fifty years towards UAE Centennial 2071. We must be the best country in the world in terms of quality of life, and this is a great responsibility that you deserve, because you represent the government of the UAE, the government of number one.”

The activities of the first meeting of the CEOs of happiness and quality of life at the "Expo" included a set of sessions that included a unified and purposeful future vision, within the framework of broad lines that define what should be the reality of quality of life in various sectors in the country in the coming years.

In one of the sessions, the Secretary-General of the Quality of Life Council, Ammar Al-Maaini, reviewed the “site of quality of life in the UAE government after the merger”, while the head of the quality of life team, Amal Al Balushi, presented a working paper on the National Strategy for Quality of Life 2031, and the Vice President of the Government Network of Presidents The Executives of Happiness and Quality of Life, Aisha Al-Marri, to “The tasks of CEOs for happiness and quality of life in 2022”.

The meeting also included a qualitative session entitled "Mindfulness" presented by the CEO of "Arosa Life", Captain Abdullah Al Hammadi, and a brainstorming session to develop the roadmap for the government network of CEOs for the year 2022.
