In a packed press room, President Adama Barrow begins by repeating his campaign credo: infrastructure development.

 As I said before the election, I would continue to develop infrastructure.

While he is due to begin his second term in January, the Gambian president has also promised to complete the current constitutional reform project and to limit the number of presidential terms.

I assure you, the whole world and all Gambians, we will have a new Constitution and will include a term limit and absolute majority.

But quickly, the disputed election results resurfaced among journalists' questions.

Adama Barrow refers to the decision of the Electoral Commission and wants to unite.

Because the Gambia is important.

We will do everything possible to bring people together, to make sure that this country is developed.

For its part, the opposition is still studying a possible legal action against the results of Saturday's ballot.
