Wednesday's weather: disturbed in the east with snow at low altitude in the Alps

The weather on Wednesday will remain variable and agitated from Pays-de-la-Loire, to the borders of the Benelux and the Mediterranean coasts, according to Météo-France.

The lagging sky will remain variable with more clearings in the morning, over all regions.

However, on the Channel coast, a gusty westerly wind and showers will dominate throughout the day, sometimes even accompanied by sleet and thunderstorms.

Variable sky with a few showers on the first heights

From the Gulf of Lion to the Provençal plain, the sky will also be variable with some showers on the first heights. In Corsica, on its western part, the weather will gradually become quite agitated, bringing a good accumulation of rain and snow from 700 m. On the rest of France, at the start of the day, the disturbance of the day before will resist on the eastern flank, with snow at around 800 m and beyond 1,200 m on the Alps, then showers throughout the alpine massif around 500/700 m, up to the alpine valleys.

Elsewhere, a trolling regime will set in in the morning, with significant cloudiness and temporary showers, or even thunderstorms on the Aquitaine coast.

It will snow on the reliefs around 600/800 m on the Pyrenean foothills.

Note also a strengthening of the wind on the Aquitaine coast, in particular in the Basque Country.

The tramontane will also blow strongly on Corsica, between 60 and 80 km / h, even 90 temporarily.

Between 0 and 5 in the morning

Morning temperatures will range between 0 and 5 degrees, and between 6 and 8 on the Aquitaine and Mediterranean coasts and even 10 on the Balagne coast.

The maximums will oscillate between 4 and 9 degrees, up to 10 on the Atlantic coast and 10/13 in the Mediterranean, up to 15/17 in Corsica.
