The return of giant pandas and Xiang Xiang from Tokyo's Ueno Zoo to China has been postponed until the end of June next year because it is difficult to accompany specialized staff due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

Xiang Xiang, a female giant panda at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, was born between male Lily and female Xin Xin, who are rented by the city from the Chinese side, and is a popular zoo who turned four in June.

In the same June, twins of younger brother Xiao Xiao and younger sister Ray Ray were born and became older sisters.

Xiang Xiang was scheduled to be returned to China during this time, but the capital announced on the night of the 7th that the return was postponed until June next year.

According to the city, the reason is that it is difficult to accompany professional staff due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

This is the third time that Xiang Xiang's return to China has been postponed due to the effects of the new coronavirus.
