At the same time, the draft defense budget of the United States does not mention sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and Russia's sovereign debt.

On December 6, the American television channel CNN, citing sources, reported that the US authorities are studying the possibility of imposing sanctions on Russia in order to "deter" it from "invading Ukraine."
