On December 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin opened ten stations of the Big Circle Metro Line.

“There remains 30% - these are nine stations, which we will certainly build in the main next year, and I hope that in 2023 the ring will be completely closed and will work in full-fledged mode,” the portal of the mayor and government quotes Sobyanin.

As the mayor noted, BCL is a key project for the development of the country's central transport hub.

Currently, about 60% of all passengers in Russia pass through Moscow.

“There will be transfers to 44 different directions from the Big Circle Line.

These are suburban railways, the MCC, the MCD, and the radial metro lines.

That is, this is exactly the key project, which together with the MCC is, in fact, a new support frame for the entire transport system of Moscow and the Moscow transport hub, "Sobyanin said.

Sobyanin thanked the President of Russia for his constant attention and support for the development of Moscow's transport, as well as all the people involved in the opening of new metro stations, from builders to workers.

According to him, this is the most difficult and the most demanded project - difficult, since a whole new underground city has been built and continues to be built near Moscow.

In total, you will need to go through 150 km of tunnels.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin took part by video link in the ceremony of launching new stations on the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro.
