Under the roof of "Expo 2020 Dubai", the work of the eighth session of the Forum "Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies - Abu Dhabi", which was organized under the title "Comprehensive Citizenship... From Common Existence to Common Conscience", for three days, with local, Arab and international participation, focused on the role of Cooperation between states and peoples of different religions, in promoting world peace and achieving the well-being of societies, and emphasizing the common denominators that unite all human beings.

The opening session of the forum, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, and Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, and Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Pakistan, Dr. Noor Al-Haq Qadri, while the opening session was concluded by Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayh, Chairman of the Forum “Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies - Abu Dhabi”.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said: "I salute what you seek in this forum to unleash the consequences of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, in terms of the ability to confront issues of importance in this era, and to find successful solutions to them, and I also salute the strong affirmation this meeting represents. That tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood are important areas for fruitful international cooperation, and that building people everywhere, and even human societies in general, in a way that achieves peace and development, is everyone’s responsibility.”

For his part, the head of the forum, Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayh, said: "We are meeting this time to examine together a basic concept of peace, a concept that has its deep philosophical depths and its current realistic prospects, which is the concept of comprehensive citizenship."

He added: "Our meeting this year aims to issue the (Abu Dhabi Declaration of Inclusive Citizenship), which is a declaration derived from religious texts, and taking into account the contemporary civilizational context, represented in national constitutions and international charters, and based on the great documents of tolerance."

While Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa stressed that “the first meaning of comprehensive citizenship resides in the responsibility of protecting it and implementing its measures to the national state, and to its ability to provide support and the size of its giving, the return that it will obtain, while the second meaning is carried out by all the forces of good, with their sincere and effective will. Starting with cooperation between nations and peoples within the framework of their interrelationships, each according to that relationship, or within the framework of their global international system with all its organizations and bodies.”
