A man from Stiring-Wendel (Moselle) has just been convicted of international trafficking in non-domestic animals by the courts.

In two years, he published 42 sales announcements of parrots and turtles, without holding the certificate of competence, reports

Le Républicain-Lorrain.

The man was noticed by an inspector from the National Office for Hunting and Wildlife, in April 2019, on the Leboncoin site.

During searches carried out at the homes of the seller and his father, 62 specimens were discovered.

However, the two men are not in possession of any authorization.

No sale has been reported either.

Verdict in January

Steps to regularize their situation were initiated by the two defendants.

If they were indeed found guilty by the court, their sentences were postponed.

In addition to fines, the confiscation of animals was requested by the public prosecutor.

The request for approval being in progress, the two men could not lose their animals.

The verdict will be delivered on January 24.
