In his address, the parliamentarian noted that the amount of temporary disability benefits currently depends on the length of the employee's work experience.

Obviously, Sukharev emphasizes that young people (students of secondary, specialized secondary, higher educational institutions) who have just begun their labor activity have little experience and can count on sick leave benefits in the amount of 60% of the average earnings.

At the same time, combining study with work is often the only opportunity for students of higher educational institutions, students of secondary specialized educational institutions to pay for tuition, rent, and their own maintenance, the deputy noted.

“In this regard, I ask you to assess the feasibility of increasing the amount of temporary disability benefit to 100% of the average earnings paid for the entire period of temporary disability to persons who combine work with education in secondary school, receiving the first secondary special or higher education, regardless of the duration insurance experience, "- says the text of the appeal.

In accordance with the norms of the law, citizens with a work experience of up to five years are paid a sick leave benefit in the amount of 60% of the average earnings, from five to eight years - 80%, eight years or more - 100%.

Earlier it became known that the government additionally allocated more than 47 billion rubles for temporary disability benefits.
