On the whole, the base of the year-end bonus has shown a “weak rebound” compared to last year.

The investigation on the same day also explained the situation of Taiwanese companies holding "tail teeth".

"End Ya" is a traditional festival in Fujian and Taiwan.

In traditional customs, merchants will prepare sacrifices on the second and sixteenth day of the lunar calendar in order to make business prosperous. After the ceremony, everyone eats the sacrifices together, which is called the "slaying the tooth sacrifice."

Every year, December 16 of the lunar calendar is the last "dental period", that is, the "tail tooth"; now, many Taiwanese companies choose to hold company annual meetings on this day.

According to the survey, 64% of enterprises this year have “tail teeth” plans, up from 55.9% in 2020, which is the second lowest in nine years; in addition, 17% of enterprises plan to cut “tail teeth” budgets.

Among the companies that plan to hold the "End Tooth", 16.6% of the companies estimate that the "End Tooth" budget will be reduced, and 63.7% of the companies' estimated budget will be the same as in 2020.
