06 December 2021On the highest step in the world Marcell Jacobs has enchanted everyone. That first time in which an Italian won a gold medal at the Olympics in the 100 meters with the European record (9 ”80) and took home another one with the 4X100 relay. Not even 10 seconds to realize the feat he had accomplished.

Then, the temporary exit from the sports scene: to recover strength and prepare for a new competitive season, that of 2022. When Jacobs will not allow the results of Tokyo to be questioned.

Thus, four months after that August 1st, the announcement of a return to the track arrives. There is a date: next February 4th the champion from Desenzano will return to challenge his opponents.

The announcement came from Jacobs at the presentation of the book Photoansa 2021 underway at MAXXI in Rome.

The athlete trained by Paolo Camossi will return to the competitive circuit at the meeting of the International Stadium Festival (ISTAF) outdoor which will take place at the Olympiastadion.

As he continues his search for someone who can stand up to him during the repetitions, who can share the pain of training with him, the world is preparing to see him run again, six months after that day when that Italian boy born in El Paso passed every expectation.
