Iran considered that Israel was against the nuclear agreement from the beginning, and that the Western parties were not serious about its proposals in the Vienna talks, while Israeli Mossad chief David Barnea is visiting Washington to discuss the Iranian nuclear file.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said this morning, Monday, that Israel opposes dialogue in the region and has used its efforts to thwart the agreement, explaining that Israel has been against the nuclear agreement from the beginning and that his country does not care about its positions.

The spokesman added that the principle of step for step in the Vienna talks is not on the table.

Khatibzadeh accused the Western parties in the Vienna talks of not being serious about the Iranian proposals.

"Washington is not a member of the nuclear agreement and has no right to criticize others," he added.

Yesterday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry published tweets accusing the Western parties that they are not ready to renegotiate" the issues raised by Tehran in the latest drafts, and said that when the US administration abandons the "maximum pressure campaign", and when the Europeans show the necessary political resolve, it will open the way to quickly reaching an agreement. .

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi had confirmed yesterday that his country would not link the economy to negotiations in order to reach a nuclear agreement, stressing Tehran's efforts to thwart the impact of sanctions on the country.

"We have enough will and are serious about negotiations, and we proved that in Vienna," Raisi said in a television interview.


Mossad's efforts

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the Israeli Mossad chief David Barnea, who is currently visiting Washington, is expected to share with the American side recent intelligence information collected by Israel regarding Iran's nuclear activities.

The newspaper pointed out that Barnea is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and a number of senior officials, to hold talks focused on Iran's nuclear file.

According to the Israeli newspaper, the Mossad chief had vowed a few days ago that Iran would not have a nuclear weapon, neither in the near future nor in the long term.

It is scheduled that Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz will also visit Washington next Wednesday with the aim of coordinating with the American side on the Iranian file.

And Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the US administration conveyed messages to senior security officials in Israel that it opposes the Mossad's surprise by carrying out secret operations in Iran during the nuclear negotiations.
