Europe 1 Studio SEASON 2021 - 202206h00, December 06, 2021

On October 30, Russia and all lovers of literature celebrated the two hundredth anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, famous author of the novel "Crime and Punishment".

In this new episode of the Europe 1 Studio podcast "At the heart of History", Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach retraces the life of this writer with an extraordinary destiny.

A promising writer from the first half of the 19th century, Dostoyevsky began his career by attending the Circle of Petrachevsky.

Within this secret society of intellectuals based in St. Petersburg, subversive political ideas are exchanged.

Dostoyevsky's life was turned upside down in April 1849, when the group was infiltrated by the spies of Tsar Ivan the Terrible.

All its members are arrested and convicted.

How is Dostoyevsky doing?

In this new episode of the Europe 1 Studio podcast "At the heart of History", Clémentine Portier-Kaltenbach tells the fascinating story of the famous Russian author.
