Choi Bae-geun, a professor at Konkuk University, who works on the Democratic Party's presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung Election Committee, expressed his gratitude yesterday (6th).

Professor Choi wrote on his Facebook page, "I resigned from the post of co-chair of the Basic Society Committee.

He wrote, "I want to devote myself to the work that has always been the most important thing for our children and students to live with hope in the future," he wrote.

Professor Choi added, "Even if I resign as the co-chairman, I will work with the Candlelight Citizens as a citizen to create the 'Second Candlelight Government'."

Professor Choi, who served as the co-chair of the Citizens' Party, the proportional representative party of the Democratic Party in the April 15 general election last year, was called a 'basic income evangelist' by actively defending Lee's basic income policy.

He also participated in Lee Jae-myung's primary campaign and joined the election last month.

He compared the appearances after posting pictures of Cho Dong-yeon, a military professor at Seogyeong University, who was recently recruited as the Democratic Party's co-permanent election chairman, and Lee Su-jeong, a professor of criminal psychology at Kyonggi University, who joined as the People's Strength co-election chairman, side by side on social media. There have been rumors that it is not.
