The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the provision of three channels to receive comments and complaints from customers with the recruitment centers of domestic workers.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Domestic Workers Affairs, Khalil Khoury, confirmed the ministry’s readiness to receive comments from customers with the 62 approved centers for the recruitment of domestic workers, or the 84 violating offices that were recently closed, whether they were notes related to financial claims such as Refund of recruitment fees during the probationary period of the assistant worker, which lasts for six months or after the end of this period, as well as notes regarding the replacement of the assistant worker in accordance with the executive regulations of the Domestic Workers Law.

It is noteworthy that the ministry recently announced the closure of 84 offices in violation of the law of domestic workers at the state level, in cooperation and coordination with the concerned local authorities, based on the keenness to implement the optimal provisions of the law, including limiting the negative practices committed by the violating offices. , which was reflected on the rights of employers dealing with it, national and resident families, and on support workers. Khoury said that the ministry's handling of the comments received is carried out according to a specific mechanism, whereby the concerned person and the concerned center are contacted within five working days of receiving the note, by dissolving it amicably or referring it to the judiciary for consideration and decision in the event that a solution that satisfies both parties is not reached.

He explained that the ministry provides three channels to receive feedback to facilitate the work of employers and citizen and resident families, as these channels include the call center on the toll-free number 80060 from eight in the morning until eight in the evening, from Saturday to Thursday, in four languages, as well as the website of the ministry www. .mohre.gov.ae, in addition to the ministry's smart application, which is available on the "Apple Store" and "Google Play".

He pointed to the ministry's keenness to guarantee the rights of all parties, whether employers, national and resident families, auxiliary workers, or centers that recruit this category of workers.

Khoury called on employers and national and resident families wishing to use and employ domestic workers to deal with approved centers that provide services to customers in line with the provisions of the law and its executive regulations, and in a manner that guarantees the rights of all parties.

Two-year co-worker warranty

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation stated that the approved domestic labor recruitment centers are obliged to guarantee the assistant worker for two years, whereby the full recruitment costs are refunded to the customer or the provision of another assistant worker in the event of any of the four cases occurring during the first six months of the contract (the trial period), These cases include termination of the contract by the worker without a legitimate reason, leaving him to work without an acceptable reason, or lack of health fitness of the worker, as well as his inability to carry out his work tasks in the required and agreed manner.

She added that the centers are obligated to refund part of the sums of recruitment costs in the event that two cases occurred during the post-trial period until the end of the two-year contract, as the two cases include the worker rescinding the contract after the probationary period without a legitimate reason or leaving work after the probation period without an acceptable reason. These amounts are calculated according to the remaining period of the contract in months from the total recruitment cost.

The labor recruitment centers approved by the Ministry provide an integrated package of services to customers through specific packages designed to meet the needs of employers and families, citizens and residents of the country.
