The meteorological winter has linked its grip on most of Sweden.

Temperatures range from -26 degrees in the north to -4 in the south.

And in most places the snow lies like a white blanket.

Only in southern Skåne does the thermometer show around zero.

And according to the forecast, the winter weather will continue.

In the coming days, snow and cold are expected to continue in most of the country.

- Now it's winter weather in almost the whole country.

And what matters is that it is still cold.

The plus degrees that still exist in southern Sweden will be replaced by minus degrees.

It looks like Monday will be the coldest day and then it can be minus degrees in almost the whole country, even on the day, says SVT's meteorologist Per Stenborg.

The cold is then expected to subside slightly in the middle of the week.

On Wednesday comm

a snowfall in from the southwest that affects southern Sweden on Thursday.

- Then it can eventually also turn into rain.

And even in the north, the cold will be reduced in the middle of next week, says Per Stenborg.
