His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Saeed Murshed Al Meqbali, UAE Ambassador to the United Republic of the Comoros "Comoros Islands", officially inaugurated the headquarters of the State's embassy in the capital, Moroni, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of the Union.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mesdaran Abdo, Speaker of the National Parliament of the United Republic of the Comoros, Anbar Darwish, wife of His Excellency the President of the Republic, a number of ministers and senior officials, Dr. Atallah bin Zayed Al-Zayed, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Republic of the Comoros, heads of diplomatic missions of Arab and foreign countries and an elite of thinkers intellectuals, and the media.

His Excellency Al-Muqbali stressed that the opening of the headquarters of the UAE Embassy in Moroni embodies the depth of the distinguished friendship between the UAE and the United Republic of the Comoros, and the two countries' aspirations to strengthen them in all areas of common interest.

His Excellency pointed out that the relations between the two countries are strong and brotherly and are witnessing continuous development, praising the progress that these relations have reached in various fields and sectors, expressing his hope for the United Republic of the Comoros continued progress and prosperity.

For his part, Qassem Lotfi, Minister of State in charge of the Arab World at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Republic of the Comoros, expressed his happiness to participate in the opening of the headquarters of the UAE Embassy in Moroni. In 1975, it is in continuous progress at all levels,” noting that there are many capabilities to support and enhance it in various fields to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
