05 December 2021 Juventus beat Genoa 2-0 on Matchday 16 of the championship.

With this success, the Bianconeri have hooked Fiorentina in fifth place and can remain in the wake of the leading quartet, albeit at the moment decidedly detached.

The success, Allegri's 150th in Serie A on the bench, interrupted a streak of three consecutive draws obtained by Genoa in previous away matches and the rossoblùs coached by Andriy Shevchenko remain in third from last place in the standings.

To break the deadlock in the 9th minute a goal-masterpiece by Juan Cuadrado: the Colombian hit a corner to return from the left that bypassed Sirigu and went to the far post. After a series of more or less clear-cut occasions, the double chance of doubling missed by Juventus in the 37th minute was sensational when, from a fine cross by Pellegrini from the left, de Ligt hit his head and found the instinctive parade of Sirigu who on the following Morata's tap-in has made the ball his own. The Spaniard again protagonist in the 45th minute when on an assist from the left of Dybala he slipped into the center of the area hitting with the right but still finding the opposition of Sirigu.

The Morata-Sirigu duel continued in the second half and on 8 'it was again the goalkeeper who won it by saying no to the Iberian who, after uprooting the ball from Bani's feet, had been good at hitting right from inside the area.

Then a double save in the 20 'on the conclusions of Dybala from close range and on Cuadrado's plate confirming the clear domination of Juventus in a match in which Genoa struggled to put their nose out of their own half, without ever bothering Szczesny and not making even a conclusion.

At the umpteenth attempt, Genoa then fell for the second time: in the 37th minute, Bernardeschi's suggestion, Dybala entered the area and left foot that left the goalkeeper no way out.
