The “tree of life” is an ancient symbol that embodies the cycle of life, permanent youth and eternal life, and is used in many folkloric crafts and inscriptions, especially in the manufacture of the famous handmade carpets in Moldova, which is classified by UNESCO as a human heritage crafts.

The drawings of the "Tree of Life" include roses and leaves in bright colors, woven through a large hand-woven rug, that mixes the history and heritage of the country with the idea of ​​launching into the future.

East and West

Through its pavilion, Moldova is displaying a slogan through the mural “The Crossroads of East and West”, given the geographical nature of the country’s location, which is the intersection of roads between the continents of Asia and Europe, in the north of the Balkan Peninsula, which makes it a point of geographical and cultural convergence between many cultures and peoples.

Moldova also highlights a famous story called: “Love between Heaven and Earth,” and it is based on a poem written by the Moldovan poet Mihai Amenescu, who lived between 1850 and 1889, and composed the poem under the name “Lochavrol,” or “Morning Star.”

The poem deals with an impossible love story between two different worlds expressed by earth and sky, through two symbols in the poem: the daughter of an emperor, who embodies ordinary human desires, and “Lochavrul”, who represents a symbol of absolute genius.

It was ranked by the International Academy of Records as the longest written love poem.

He pointed to symbols that express the Moldovan society, most notably the yellow symbol, which expresses the development of the auto parts industry, and the red hearts that express communication between the people and foreign societies.

Starcirce stated that Moldova - with a population of 3.5 million - is famous for its ethnic diversity.

He stressed that it allows entry to its territory without a visa for citizens of 100 countries, most notably: the UAE, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
