The government announced earlier this week that an amnesty law will be passed to allow members of politico-military movements to participate in the inclusive national dialogue scheduled for the end of the year.

Two draft laws should be submitted to the National Transitional Council, the provisional parliament, for this purpose.

While waiting for their formalization, a first list has leaked.

It is a nine-page document entitled "Bill on a general amnesty for acts of terrorism, complicity, recruitment and enlistment of minors in armed groups" which leaked Saturday evening on social networks.

It has 254 names including Timan and

Tom Erdimi,

the nephews of former President Idriss Deby Itno who have taken up arms against him for over 15 years.

Another list is expected and should bring to nearly 300 the number of members of the politico-military opposition movements condemned by the Chadian justice after the assaults on the power of the late Marshal Idriss Déby Itno.

But the two lists only settle part of the political-military issue, observes one analyst.

There are those who took up arms but were not sentenced.

For them, it will take a special exemption explains the same source.
