In the shadow of the formation of a government in the federal government, a political counter-program has taken shape in Berlin over the past few weeks.

As if the majority of citizens had not been abused enough by the SPD, the Greens and the Left in the past five years, after the election of the House of Representatives on September 26, the Greens had nothing better to do than commit the SPD to a continuation of the left-wing alliance .

Franziska Giffey, who as the top candidate had promised an orientation towards the middle of society, did not want to or could not counter this - which makes some SPD voters appear in good faith, if not naive.

Paradoxically, their only hope is the Left Party, which has been weakened significantly since September.

If the alleged kowtowing of the old-new coalition against the real estate industry, neoliberalism and other usual suspects disgusts the majority of the 8,000 members as much as numerous delegates at the special party congress, then the treaty would probably fail - and cards would have to be reshuffled.

It is true that the “bourgeois” parties in the capital are in a constitution that is difficult to reconcile with one's own claims.

But anyone who wants to form a coalition with the Left Party should definitely dare to form an alliance with the CDU and FDP.
