SOS Racism activists leading an action that wanted to be "non-violent" were attacked by participants during the meeting of Eric Zemmour, Sunday in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis), noted journalists from AFP.

At the start of Eric Zemmour's speech, around ten activists from the association stood up at the back of the room in a row, with a yellow letter on each of their black jerseys, allowing them to display the message "No to the racism".

NO TO RACISM

At least two people with blood

They were immediately taken violently to task by other participants in the rally, who hit them, or threw seats at them, as shown in a video broadcast by SOS Racism on Twitter, before being evacuated.

At least two people were bleeding, an AFP journalist noted.

“In seconds chairs were thrown, activists knocked down and beaten.

They ended up with open wounds - at least two - others took beatings.

Here is in 2021, in France, when one comes in a meeting to say no to racism, one ends up with the head in blood ”, reacted near AFP Dominique Sopo, president of SOS Racism.

"We wanted to do a non-violent action, I insist non-violent"

"This will be the subject of complaints from militants attacked to determine who the aggressors are and whether they are responsible for their acts," said Dominique Sopo.

"We wanted to do a non-violent action, I insist non-violent", explained on the spot Aline Kremer of SOS-Racisme.

“Our activists were present at the #Zemmour rally in Villepinte to say no to racism in a peaceful manner.

The video, of incredible violence, speaks for itself, our activists were hit and insulted for recalling our anti-racist fight, ”the association also wrote on Twitter.
