The presidential candidate, Yannick Jadot, went to the Trans Musicales in Rennes on Friday.

A way for the ecologist to relaunch his campaign by addressing a new audience, young non-voters, and to unveil part of his political program as his intention to bring the budget of the Ministry of Culture to one billion euros .

Yannick Jadot would he conquer the young electorate?

The candidate of Europe-Ecology-the Greens in the presidential election wants to leave behind the controversies of recent weeks, such as the Nicolas Hulot affair, and wishes to relaunch his campaign on the ground, far from Paris, to talk about culture .

Support musical creation

At the Trans Musicales de Rennes, Yannick Jadot attends the concert of King of Guru, a rock group made up of young people from the city.

This is not a usual framework for a presidential candidate, but assumes and argues.

"We have nearly 8,000 festivals in our country, music and musical creation are essential for living together and for the economic activity of our country," he said.

But the candidate of the Greens does not come here only for the music, he is in campaign and he has the challenge to convince these three million young abstainers.

To do this, he wants to present to them his vast project to relaunch culture in the territories, such as that of "bringing the budget of the Ministry of Culture for creation and artists to one billion".

"This money, we can use it to do other things."

Not a euro of public money for polluting companies.

It is a drastic step, but a necessary step, according to the candidate.
