The "My Blood for My Country" campaign was launched in its first session in 2012, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness was the first blood donor at the moment of the campaign's launch, which contributed to its success and encouraged community members to participate. In it, the campaign succeeded in collecting 44,348 units of blood over 10 years, through 706 campaigns that included government and private institutions, while the campaign is implemented in a strategic partnership between the "Emirates Today" newspaper, the "Amin" service, and the Dubai Health Authority.

Number of donors

The Dubai Health Authority revealed the increase in the number of participants in the "My Blood for My Country" campaign, during the 10 cycles, as the campaign collected 418 blood units in its first cycle, which rose to 16,730 units during the 10th cycle. campaigns in its first cycle, reaching 488 campaigns this year.

• The "campaign" collected more than 44,000 blood units during 10 years, which contributed to saving the lives of 132,000 people.

Young donors

Dubai Health statistics showed an increase in the number of donors for the first time in the campaign, from 29% of the total donors during the first cycle, to 66.7% of donors during the 10th cycle, which reflects the growing community awareness about the culture of blood donation.

The percentage of young donors increased from 12.7% of the total donors during the first cycle, to 23.63% during the 10th cycle, and the number of government agencies participating in the campaign increased by 32, compared to only three in the first cycle.
