The largest "burqa in the world" enters the Guinness Book of Records through the "Expo" portal

The women's organization "Kithar", the "Jawhara" jewelry group, and the "Baqsha" project registered their names in the Guinness Book of World Records, yesterday, with their design "the largest burqa in the world", which was announced and displayed at the women's pavilion at "Expo 2020 Dubai", coinciding with With the celebrations of the 50th UAE Union Day, the burqa will be presented to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation "Mother of the Nation".

Yesterday, the women's pavilion witnessed the display of the largest burqa in the world, with a length of 96 centimeters and a width of 47 centimeters.

For her part, Dr. Maryam Kittet told "Emirates Today" that "the UAE's hosting of (Expo 2020 Dubai), and the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the Union, are among the most important reasons that encouraged them to design the largest burqa in the world," adding: "We have a desire to Great in opening the way for the largest possible number of women visiting the (Baqsha) booth participating in the (Expo Dubai) to contribute to the burqa industry, as a cultural experience facilitated by the burqa, and through it, the visitors will be introduced to the story of the burqa, its beauty and importance, as it is part of the heritage identity of Emirati women. She added: "The UAE has always been an important station for many artists and creators of different nationalities, as women have led the creative scene, and taken the initiative to excel in various fields, which urges (Kithar) and (Baqsha) to celebrate them by making this burqa and achieving the number. The standard, where they will celebrate influential women in the creative industries, in partnership with the (Jawhara Foundation) and (Zay Initiative), and on this occasion, this burqa will be gifted to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak.
