European Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that among the 30 member states of the European Union and the European Economic Area, 109 cases of Omicron mutation infection occurred in 16 countries.



Including the UK and Switzerland, which are not part of the European Union, omicron mutations have been confirmed in 18 European countries.



It was found that among the suspected cases of infection, not many people had been vaccinated.



The UK Health and Safety Agency said that out of 22 cases of omicron mutations published in the UK until the 30th of last month, more than half of them were 12 cases after receiving two doses of the vaccine.



In Norway, more than 60 people were infected with the corona virus at a party attended by 100 vaccinated people.



As concerns about the spread of Omicron grew, European governments are strengthening quarantine measures.



From today (the 4th), Finland has decided to obtain a confirmation or negative certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 for all inbound travelers, and the Swiss federal government has required people coming from other countries, such as Austria and Germany, to submit a negative PCR test certificate. .



Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that there have been no reports of deaths related to Omicron.
