Psaki said that the issue of NATO membership is not decided by Russia

"The question of who is a member of the alliance is decided by the NATO countries, not Russia," TASS quoted her statement.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that if NATO countries withdraw from discussions on security guarantees, Moscow will be forced to take action.

In addition, Lavrov warned US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken about the consequences of Ukraine being drawn into the geopolitical games of the United States.

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Minister announced Russia's interest in joining forces with the United States to resolve the crisis in Ukraine.
