It was on Wednesday that a number of Social Democratic women in Tomas Eneroth's home district Småland wrote an open letter criticizing that he gets a continued trust in the government while he is now being investigated for sexual harassment.

"Men who commit sexual abuse have no place in our government," wrote the women, who also believe that there is a culture of silence in the party.

But the Social Democrats' party secretary Tobias Baudin says he has continued confidence in Eneroth.

- That is about the government and the government and the one who has given him that trust.

We will see, an investigation is underway and we are following it very closely, he says.

"Trust is given by party districts"

Regarding the criticism from Eneroth's home district, Baudin says:

- The trust is given by the party district and regardless of whether you have trust or not, I am behind the party district.

That is how our democracy in our party works, he says.

Tomas Eneroth is accused of taking a woman by the butt in connection with the Social Democrats' party congress in November.

A preliminary investigation into sexual harassment has been launched by the Special Prosecutor's Office.

The Social Democrats' party district in Kronoberg has previously replied that it is up to the local nomination committee in Kronoberg to decide whether they have continued confidence in Eneroth.
