Abu Dhabi Police launches the first traffic points program for "People of Determination"

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command, represented by the Police Follow-up and Aftercare Department, in cooperation with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, launched the first traffic points program for people of determination at the state level, coinciding with the International Day for People of Determination, which falls on December 3 of each year. The first category is the deaf and hard of hearing category “in sign language”.
The inauguration ceremony of the program at the Abu Dhabi Youth Center was attended by the Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Nafeh Al Hammadi, and the Acting Director of the Police Follow-up and Aftercare Department in the Community Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Ahmed Juma Al Khaili, and a number of directors and heads of departments in Both sides, a number of young people who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Al Hammadi stressed the importance of joint cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police in implementing various initiatives, to provide the highest quality and distinguished services to people of determination, and to develop ways of care and rehabilitation for them in accordance with the best international practices, to empower and integrate them with the rest of the community at various levels.
Al Khaili stated that Abu Dhabi Police is keen to implement initiatives in cooperation with various authorities, as part of its efforts to support and empower people of determination, to improve the quality of life and to provide, develop and create the best services for them.
He explained that this program is the first of its kind for traffic points in sign language at the state level, in order to enhance the role of the Abu Dhabi Police in contributing to the implementation of the national strategy for people of determination, and creating an environment that allows people of determination equal access to rights, services and opportunities at all stages of life, and in alignment with the Handicap Classification Guide in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. .
The paragraphs of the ceremony were translated into sign language, including many paragraphs, including a video presentation of the customer's journey, explaining the mechanism for benefiting from the traffic points program. In addition to a dialogue session held by the People of Determination Support and Empowerment Branch at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, it was presented by Major Wejdan Al-Mutairi.
The Police Follow-up and Aftercare Department honored its deaf and hard of hearing employees, in appreciation of their efforts in developing and improving work.
