China News Service, December 3, according to Russian satellite network reports, on the 3rd local time, a passenger plane at Riga Airport in Latvia rushed out of the runway and the airport was closed in an emergency. Fortunately, all the 44 passengers on board were safe.
According to reports, the airport said that visibility deteriorated due to snowfall in the area. A Baltic Airlines passenger plane that arrived in Riga from Stockholm, Sweden, dashed off the runway after landing.
The airport said, “Due to this accident, the airport runway has been closed. The relevant airport departments and airline representatives are working on site.”
According to a representative of Baltic Airlines, the plane has been towed to the hangar for further inspection, and said, “No passengers were injured in the accident, and all 44 passengers were safely sent to the airport terminal.”
