02 December 2021 Symone Sanders, principal adviser and spokesperson for US Vice President Kamala Harris, will leave the Biden administration at the end of the year.

This was announced by the White House.

Sanders, 39, an African American, worked for Biden's presidential campaign before becoming a spokesperson for Harris.

Her farewell comes after a series of rumors that speak of severe frustration in the vice president's team over Harris's rather shadowy role in the administration so far.

Frustration accompanied by the controversy over the lack of effectiveness in communicating the message of the vice presidency.
