The device that irradiates the cow dung with lightning has been tested at a facility with 200 dairy cows in the UK.

According to the Oslo-based company, the results show a reduction in methane emissions by 99 percent.

Methane is released both from the cows' burps and farts but also from the storage of manure.

This method is aimed at storing manure, which is the smaller item.

Because methane is a powerful greenhouse gas, much more powerful than carbon dioxide, it can still be of great importance.
